Terms of Service

By registering, signing in, or using any Mupl feature, you confirm you've read, understood, and agree to:

• These terms.
• Privacy Policy.

If you don't agree with any part, you can't use Mupl. Persons under 13 can't create accounts (see Privacy Policy section 10).

Mupl is a private music player — not a streaming catalog service (like Spotify or Apple Music). Specifically:

• Mupl plays music files you legally own (mp3/flac/m4a/wav/ogg).
• Mupl syncs your library across your devices via end-to-end encrypted cloud.
• Mupl does NOT provide a licensed music catalog. You must bring your own files.
• Mupl is NOT a music download service — no functionality to download from YouTube, Spotify, or online sources.

You're responsible for:

• Providing accurate info at registration (valid email, no impersonation).
• Keeping passwords secret — Mupl password + encryption passphrase. The passphrase is critical — we can't reset it (see Privacy Policy section 5).
• Reporting unauthorized access immediately via security@mupl.notadi.app.
• Managing signed-in devices — revoke lost or sold devices in Settings → Devices.

Each account is for one individual. Don't share login credentials.

You may upload and play through Mupl:

• Music you've legally purchased (Bandcamp, iTunes Store, ripped from CDs you own).
• Self-recorded or self-performed audio (you hold the copyright).
• Public domain or appropriately Creative Commons-licensed music for personal use.
• Podcasts, audiobooks you've purchased.
• Voice memos, background music for self-recorded videos.

You MAY NOT:

• Upload copyright-infringing music — including DRM-stripped Spotify, YouTube rips, or pirated sources.
• Share account credentials or in-account content with others (Mupl is a personal service, not multi-user).
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape Mupl, or attempt to decrypt other users' data.
• Attack our servers (DDoS, brute-force, exploits). Mupl rate-limits and will ban violators + report to authorities.
• Use Mupl to upload illegal content per Vietnamese law: child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, threats to national security.
• Run commercial services on Mupl (radio stations, public streaming). Mupl is for personal use only.

Violations result in immediate account termination without refund, and Mupl reserves the right to report to authorities when warranted.

You retain full ownership of music uploaded to Mupl. Mupl doesn't claim a license beyond minimum technical scope to operate:

• Storing ciphertext + audio bytes on S3.
• Streaming back to your device on request.
• Scheduled backups to prevent data loss.

Mupl does NOT:

• Train AI/ML models on your content.
• Analyze audio (BPM, key, genre detection) on the server.
• Sample your music for marketing or promotion.

You commit that uploaded files are legally owned. Mupl doesn't proactively check copyright (zero-knowledge), but on receiving DMCA notices or rights-holder reports, we'll review and remove infringing content.

Mupl has 3 tiers:

• Free — 0₫, forever. 1 GB cloud, 2 devices.
• Pro — 49,000₫/month. Auto-renews monthly. 50 GB cloud, unlimited devices, priority support.
• Lifetime — 1,490,000₫ one-time. 100 GB cloud, lifetime use (see section 11 for commitment).

Payment via VNPay, MoMo, or Apple In-App Purchase (for iOS users). VAT invoices available on request via billing@mupl.notadi.app.

Cancel Pro: Settings → Tier → Cancel. Cancellation effective end of current billing period — you keep Pro until paid month ends.

Price changes: Mupl may change Pro pricing with 30 days email notice. Already-purchased Lifetime is unaffected.

Mupl offers 30-day no-questions money-back for:

• First Pro or Lifetime purchase.
• Request within 30 days of payment.
• Account not banned for terms violation (section 5).

After 30 days, Pro isn't refunded for used time. Lifetime after 30 days: only refunded if Mupl shuts down (see section 11).

Refund requests: email billing@mupl.notadi.app with transaction ID. Refunds arrive in 5–10 business days depending on bank.

You can terminate:

• Delete account anytime in Profile → Delete account. All data removed within 30 days (after backup lifecycle).
• Cancel Pro subscription in Settings — drops to Free, data retained.

Mupl may terminate:

• Terms violations (especially section 5).
• Inactive accounts 24+ months (after warning email).
• Court order or valid authority request.

If Mupl terminates for violations, no refund of remaining Pro/Lifetime.

Mupl is provided "as-is" without express or implied warranty. Specifically, Mupl doesn't guarantee:

• Uninterrupted service (network, maintenance, cloud provider issues).
• Zero data loss (despite our 99.9% durability backup commitment).
• 100% compatibility with every device or OS version.

Mupl recommends you always keep original music backups on Mac/PC as ultimate fallback — Mupl is a utility, not your only storage.

To the extent permitted by law, Mupl isn't liable for:

• Music loss because you forgot the encryption passphrase (zero-knowledge — we have no recovery path).
• Data loss caused by you deleting it or your device breaking/being lost.
• Indirect damages (lost revenue, lost opportunity) arising from Mupl use.

Maximum liability per user per year: total amount user paid Mupl in last 12 months. Free users: max 0₫.

Lifetime commitment: if Mupl shuts down or discontinues service within 5 years of your Lifetime purchase, we refund pro-rata linearly ((60 - months used) / 60 × 1,490,000₫).

These terms are governed by Vietnamese law. Disputes arising from or related to Mupl will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Before litigation, both parties commit to good-faith negotiation (email legal@mupl.notadi.app) for 30 days.

Mupl may update these terms. Material changes (price increases, refund policy changes, new restrictions) will be emailed 30 days before effect.

Continuing to use Mupl after the effective date = agreeing to the new version. If you disagree, you can delete your account and request pro-rata refund of unused Pro time.
